How long before fists start flying between the ladies on the new version of Basketball Wives? Judging by the trailer (see clip below) , we're guessing it's about 17 minutes.
Basketball Wives L.A. premieres next Monday on VH1 and it has all the ingredients for spontaneous combustion. As usual, the description "Wives" is something of a misnomer. Most of these women are identified as "fiancées" or "ex-fiancees" or "partners" of NBA players.
They're big girls with big nails and they're very determined to hold on to their men. So to add notoriously single Redding native and former Chris Brown squeeze Draya to the mix is like tossing crumbs into a crowded carp pool.
The most interesting character here may be Doug Christie's wife Jackie. The couple have gotten remarried every year for the last 16 years. Apparently that means Jackie gets an annual bachelorette party. As she explains, "If you're always planning a wedding, then you don't have time to plan a divorce."
