Bud Light promises to give free beer at Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Parade

Bud Light will be making good on a promise to buy beer for everyone of legal drinking age along the Philadelphia parade route after the Eagles Super Bowl LII victory.

With a Super Bowl victory in the can and revelers out in full force on Sunday night, we can bet celebrations will continue as Philadelphia prepares for the Eagles' first Super Bowl parade this week.

The beer company told ESPN it will make good on a promise to buy beer for everyone of legal drinking age along the Philadelphia parade route after the Eagles Super Bowl LII victory.

The wager goes all the way back to an open practice in August, when Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson told ESPN that if they win the Super Bowl he would give out free beer to everybody.

"I have a lot to prove to this city," Johnson told reporters. "I think if we have a few big years and make the playoffs, if we win a Super Bowl, I'm giving out beer to everybody."

Bud Light jumped right on that, saying in a tweet that they would foot the bill. "Win it all and the party is on us. Deal?"

It's anyone's guess exactly how such a massive distribution would be executed. Will it be a can per person? Which so-called taverns will participate? Who knows, but given that the city's last championship parade drew a crowd estimated by some at 2 million people, you can be sure that's a lot of (light) lager.
