SANTA MONICA, Calif. — 76ers center Joel Embiid sat out Wednesday morning's shootaround at Santa Monica High School.  Embiid, who has a surgically repaired left knee, will still play Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center.

He just did rehabilitation work on the side while his teammates participated in the shootaround.

Meanwhile, Jerryd Bayless (left wrist contusion), Nik Stauskas (sprained right ankle) and Markelle Fultz (right shoulder scapular muscle imbalance and soreness) remain sidelined. Justin Anderson (left shin soreness) and Jahlil Okafor (upper respiratory infection) are questionable.

Embiid is averaging 20.9 points, 10.8 rebounds and 1.45 blocks this season in 28.5 minutes this season. He finished with 32 points and career-high 16 rebounds in a career-high 35 minutes, 48 seconds of action on Monday.
