Report: Cavs targeting Turner

ORLANDO -- The Cleveland Cavaliers are targeting Evan Turner, according to ESPN.

According to the report, the Cavs are shopping South Philadelphia native Dion Waiters around to the Sixers, New York Knicks and the Chicago Bulls.

The team is interested in the Bulls' Loul Deng and the Knicks' Ian Shumpert in addition to Turner.

The Sixers swingman said he wasn't focused on trade rumors before Wednesday night's game against the Orlando Magic at the Amway Center.

"I got to worry about some other stuff before some rumors," Turner said. "I got to get Christmas presents and all that. I have to get Turkey, too. I have to clean it out tomorrow. I got a lot of stuff to do.

"I can't focus on rumors."

Turner has been the subject of trade rumors for the past three seasons.

But it appeared likely this season after the Sixers traded Jrue Holiday on draft night to start their rebuilding process. And his tenure in Philly appears shortlived after he was not offered an extension past this season. The league-mandated deadline to do that was Oct. 31.

"Until they do it, that's it," Turner said. "There's nothing really worth talking about. Moreso ,it's kind of like a distraction for the squad."
