NBA draft profile: Jakob Poeltl

Here is a look at Jakob Poeltl, one of the best centers available in Thursday's NBA draft:

School: Utah

Height: 7-foot-1

Weight: 240 pounds

Skinny: Poeltl averaged 17.3 points, 9.1 rebounds and 1.5 blocks en route to becoming a consensus second-team all-American last season. He is also the Pac-12 player of the year.

NBA executive's take: "He has good size. He has good agility. He can defend the pick and roll. He can block shots at the rim. He's a good passer. He has to get stronger and be able to finish better around the rim. But he can take bigs off the dribble to the basket. So he's a skilled big."

NBA scout's take: "Jakob Poeltl has really gotten his body into shape this year. Long term, he looks like he will be a career backup center.He needs to get stronger. He instinctively blocks shots and times ball well."
