Love to stay with Cavs, agrees on 5-year contract

After all the speculation surrounding Kevin Love's foray into the free agent market, the star power forward ended up right where he said he would all along - in Cleveland.

Love said Wednesday in The Players Tribune that after his first season ended with a shoulder injury, he is returning to help LeBron James finish what they started last season.

Love agreed to terms on a maximum contract of five years that could be worth more than $110 million, a person familiar with the deal said. No NBA contract can be signed until July 9.

Bulls. Jimmy Butler agreed to terms on a five-year maximum contract that could be worth $90 million and has a player option for the final year.

Clippers. Paul Pierce agreed to a three-year, $10 million deal to leave Washington for Los Angeles.

Hawks. Atlanta and forward Paul Millsap have agreed on a two-year deal with a player option for a third year that makes the deal worth $58.9 million.

Nets. Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young have agreed to new deals, a source said. Lopez, who opted out of the last year of a contract scheduled to pay him $16.7 million, is expected to sign a three-year, $60 million deal. Young's contract is a four-year, $50 million deal.

Heat. Goran Dragic accepted a five-year deal valued at between $85 million and $90 million.

Spurs. Danny Green has agreed to terms on a four-year contract worth $45 million to stay with San Antonio. The team also locked up Kawhi Leonard with a five-year, $90 million extension.

Raptors. Hawks free-agent forward DeMarre Carroll announced via Twitter that he will join Toronto. Carroll will sign a four-year, $60 million deal as a free agent.

Celtics. A person with knowledge of the deal says Boston has landed Amir Johnson with a two-year deal worth $24 million.

Suns. Phoenix reached an agreement with forward Tyson Chandler on a three-year, $52 million contract and with Brandon Knight on a five-year, $70 million extension.
