Sixers announce players for Las Vegas summer squad

Nerlens Noel, playing in Orlando, is expected to be on the Las Vegas team that begins play Friday.

THE 76ERS announced their invitees in advance of the Samsung NBA Summer League to be held at the Thomas and Mack Center and COX Pavilion at the University of Nevada Las Vegas from Friday through July 21. Camp sessions will be held through Thursday at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Nerlens Noel, who's coming off a yearlong recovery from a knee injury, is expected to join the team in Las Vegas, following his participation in the Orlando Pro Summer League, which ends Friday. He scored 19 points in 26 minutes in his summer league debut.

Second-round draft picks Jerami Grant and K.J. McDaniels are also expected to join Noel in Las Vegas. Grant, a 6-8 forward from Syracuse, and McDaniels a 6-6 swingman from Clemson, are expected to be part of the Sixers' rotations this season.

Joining the three will be fellow rookie guard Jordan McRae, a first-team all-SEC selection out of Tennessee and 58th overall selection in the 2014 NBA draft, Brandon Davies, who saw action in 51 games for the Sixers last season, and local players Tyreek Duren (La Salle), Tim Frazier (Penn State), Devon Saddler (Delaware) and Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson (Temple).

Second-team All-America Sean Kilpatrick (Cincinnati) and Scottie Wilbekin (Florida) also will play on the Las Vegas team.
