Sixers set date for camp
The Sixers will hold their training camp this season at St. Joe's.
THE 76ERS announced yesterday that they will begin training camp a week from today at Saint Joseph's University.
The team will hold training camp from Sept. 28 through Wednesday, Oct. 2. Three of those days will be double sessions with the other two having just one practice. The team will leave for two exhibition games in Europe on Oct. 3. They will play in Bilbao, Spain, on Oct. 6 against Bilbao Basket, then play in Manchester, England, on Oct. 8 against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Sixers will return to the states and host the Boston Celtics on the campus of the University of Delaware on Friday, Oct. 11 at the Bob Carpenter Center. That will be the home this year to the team's NBA Development League affiliate the Delaware 87ers.
