Tyson Chandler had 15 points and tied a season high with 17 rebounds, and the New York Knicks rebounded from their first loss under Mike Woodson by routing the visiting Pistons, 101-79, on Saturday night.

Carmelo Anthony finally got his shot to fall in the third quarter and finished with 15 points, while Jeremy Lin had 13. The bench put it away early in the fourth, allowing some banged-up Knicks to rest. Lin sat with a sore left knee but could have returned, while Amar'e Stoudemire (17 points) went out with a sore lower back.

The win puts the Knicks 31/2 games behind the Sixers for the Atlantic Division lead.

Pietrus concussed

The Boston Herald reported that the Celtics' Mickael Pietrus suffered a concussion when he crashed to floor Friday after a collision with Sixers guard Lou Williams during the second quarter of the Celtics' 99-86 loss at the Wells Fargo Center.

Pietrus remained on the floor for about 10 minutes before being removed on a stretcher and taken to a hospital by ambulance.

Boston coach Doc Rivers and several players said Pietrus vomited multiple times on the floor.

Pietrus was not admitted to the hospital, but spent the night in the area. He flew home Saturday afternoon to Boston, where he will see Celtics doctors Sunday.

He was feeling well enough to take to Twitter: "Medical staff in Philly was great. . . . Hope 2 b back with my C's soon."

Love unlimited

With a jaw-dropping, 51-point performance in a double-overtime loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night, Minnesota Timberwolves star Kevin Love may have staked a definitive claim to the title of best power forward in the game. The 51 points were a franchise record, and the first time a Timberwolves player has scored at least 50 in a game.
