WATCH: Jimmy Rollins blames toothpick for 2006 hitting streak ending

Jimmy Rollins just can't keep his mouth shut.

The former Phillies -- and current White Sox -- shortstop discussed the nuances of his 38-game hitting streak with MLB Network as part of "56: The Streak", a new documentary commemorating the 75th anniversary of legendary Yankee Joe DiMaggio's 56-game hitting streak.

Rollins spread his hitting streak over two seasons, between the end of the 2005 season and start of the 2006 season, before a lowly toothpick disrupted his mojo.

Sunday marks the anniversary of DiMaggio's first hit of the iconic streak. The documentary will air that night at 8 p.m.
