Tripling Down With Victorino

Victorino finally gets off the triple schneid.

Sure, it was great that the Phillies tacked on a couple of field goals in the ninth inning Sunday night to seal their 9-3 win over the Nationals and avoid a sweep. But we were more happy to finally see Shane Victorino get off the triple schneid.

In each of the last four seasons, it took less than two weeks for him to record his first three-bagger. It took him until game 29 (and plate appearance 128) to do so this year.
