Phillies lineup for Thursday's Blue Jays game

DUNEDIN, Fla. — It's Nola Day for the first time in seven months, but the intrigue of the Phillies' Grapefruit League game at 1 p.m. Thursday against Toronto is not limited to that.

Brock Stassi, pushing for a bench job, will start in left field. Stassi, 27, is a first baseman who has dabbled in the outfield. If he is to make the team, the Phillies want him to have versatility.

Cameron Perkins, another bench candidate, is in the other corner outfield spot Thursday. Perkins has impressed the coaching staff with his steadiness in early spring action.

Aaron Nola is on the mound for the first time since July 28, 2016. For the first two innings, all eyes will be on him.

The game can be heard on MLB.com with Scott Franzke and Larry Andersen on the call.

The Phillies will face old friend J.A. Happ. The lineup:

1. Freddy Galvis SS
2. Cameron Perkins RF
3. Odubel Herrera CF
4. Maikel Franco 3B
5. Tommy Joseph 1B
6. Brock Stassi LF
7. Nick Williams DH
8. Ryan Hanigan C
9. Jesmuel Valentin 2B
