was named, but Cherington said he had a small list of prospects that included at least one person from inside the organization and at least one from outside.
Rose TV date set
Pete Rose is set to make his first appearance Monday on Fox Sports 1. The network said the former Phillie will be on America's Pregame during a segment on the show that starts at 5 p.m., then will be on MLB Whiparound starting at 7 p.m. and on Fox Sports Live at 11:05 p.m.
Catcher's new deal
The Arizona Diamondbacks have agreed to terms on a minor-league contract with Jarrod Saltalamacchia. The catcher was released by the Miami Marlins on Tuesday, one month into the second season of a $21 million, three-year contract.
