Rose TV date set

Pete Rose is set to make his first appearance Monday on Fox Sports 1. The network said the former Phillie will be on America's Pregame during a segment on the show that starts at 5 p.m., then will be on MLB Whiparound starting at 7 p.m. and on Fox Sports Live at 11:05 p.m.

Catcher's new deal

The Arizona Diamondbacks have agreed to terms on a minor-league contract with Jarrod Saltalamacchia. The catcher was released by the Miami Marlins on Tuesday, one month into the second season of a $21 million, three-year contract.
