Ryan Howard not only athlete with family feud issues

There have been other players whose personal issues have played out in the public arena.

RYAN HOWARD isn't the only professional athlete whose family members are a pain in the tuckus.

We'll give Eric "Meet the Parents" Lindros a pass since he's being honored by the Flyers tonight.

But who can forget when Allen Iverson reportedly paid a lump sum of $3 million to settle his divorce with then-estranged wife Tawanna? That set up one of the greatest lines ever uttered in a courtroom as Iverson, pulling his pants pockets inside out, shouted to his wife, "I don't even have money for a cheeseburger."

Which prompted Tawanna to hand him $61.

Gotta love it.

Another player with marital issues was former Eagles free safety Wes Hopkins. In his book "Bringing the Heat," Mark Bowden - of "Black Hawk Down" fame - wrote that Ericka Hopkins once coldcocked Wes' girlfriend during a game at the Vet in 1992. Sadly there were no cellphone cameras back then.

Nationally, there is Lakers star Kobe Bryant and his mom Pamela, former NFL quarterback Todd Marinovich and his dad Marv, and former NFL wide receiver Andre Rison and then-girlfriend Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes.

Kobe sued Pamela Bryant after she tried to auction off more than $1 million of her son's memorabilia, including jerseys and trophies.

Pamela insisted Kobe gave her the items. Kobe denied it, saying he wanted to pass them on to his kids. Eventually, the case was settled. No word or whether they'll be sharing turkey and stuffing next week.

Marv Marinovich was an overbearing dad who wanted his son to be the next John Unitas. Instead, the USC star turned out more like John Reaves.

Rison made the mistake of leaving his Atlanta mansion after arguing with Lopes in 1994.

Left Eye started a fire in an upstairs bathroom that eventually burned down the entire house.

The hot couple remained together and were planning to wed when Lopes was tragically killed in a car crash in 2002.
