Brad Lidge will make his second rehab appearance for the Lakewood BlueClaws on Thursday night.

Lidge, sidelined all season with a strained shoulder, will again start the game against Kannapolis. Lefthander Ervis Manzanillo then will take over.

Lidge threw a scoreless inning Monday night, allowing two hits on 15 pitches (nine for strikes).

"That actually felt really good to get out there and the first time pitching in real competition since the postseason last year," Lidge said after the game. "I was definitely pleased by the results. I'm going to be here a couple more times at least. I've got a few more outings to make here, Reading, Lehigh [Valley]. I'm not taking any day for granted."

Indications are the Phillies expect Lidge to throw 10-12 innings in rehab appearances before making a decision about the next move.
