READING - Chris Coste's two-run homer in the third inning yesterday helped the Reading Phillies to a 4-3 Eastern League victory against the Altoona Curve.

Lefthander Matt Maloney earned the win, improving his record to 6-6.

ERIE, Pa. - Jeff Larish's two-run homer in the eighth rallied the SeaWolves past the Thunder in the Eastern League.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Brennan King hit a two-run homer for the Lynx, but the Phillies' triple-A affiliate fell to the Clippers in the International League.

Gary Burnham hit a solo homer for Ottawa.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Micah Schnurstein hit a solo homer and drove in both runs for the Warthogs in their Carolina League victory over the Blue Rocks.

The game was halted after the fifth inning because of rain.

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Brandon Tripp's RBI single in the ninth gave the Shorebirds a win over the BlueClaws in the South Atlantic League.

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - Andy Van Hekken improved his record to 6-2 as the Patriots beat the Riversharks in the Atlantic League. Van Hekken allowed one run on five hits in 52/3 innings. He struck out five.
