Phantoms fall to Norfolk, 6-2

NORFOLK, Va. - The Phantoms remained eight points out of a playoff spot in the AHL's East Division after a 6-2 loss to the Norfolk Admirals last night at the Scope.

Bridgeport and Albany are tied at 72 points apiece after Bridgeport lost and Albany won. The Phantoms have 64.

The Admirals used a 4-for-6 night on the power play to erase a 2-1 second-period deficit and race to the win.

Boyd Kane and John Slaney scored for the Phantoms.

Martin St. Pierre scored the tying goal for Norfolk after the Phantoms had gone ahead. He assisted on the eventual game-winner by Kris Versteeg.
