School of the Future wins the 3A Public League championship.

After several seasons of futility, High School of the Future has arrived. Saturday afternoon against KIPP DuBois, the Firebirds (6-3) clinched the Public League 3A championship at the Simon Gratz Supersite.

When second-year coach Marcus Fulton took over last season, "this ain't your daddy's Future" was a common refrain used to change the culture of a program that had just one league win in the three seasons before his staff took over. During that stretch, Future was 1-15 in Public League play and just 5-29 overall.
On Saturday, Tysheem Anderson led the Firebirds (6-2) with two rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown.
Future will play either Conwell-Egan or Lansdale Catholic in the 3A District 12 title game next week.
