Basketball roundup: Alexa Brodie's 3-pointer helps C.B. South edge C.B. West

The tournament has featured a rivalry game between Central Bucks South and Central Bucks West girls' and boys' basketball teams for nearly a decade. Local restaurants donate food that is sold to those in attendance, which raises money for the Coaches vs. Cancer Program, a branch of the American Cancer Society.

Nonleague. Sophomore Octavia Preston is developing a reputation as a scorer with her third straight game in double figures as Mercy Career Tech topped Girard College, 46-19, at home.

Elaisa Bagwell added 14 points, five assists, and four steals for the Monarchs.

Eileen Piombino had 28 points, five assists, and three steals as Sacred Heart defeated visiting Academy Park, 63-41. Kyra Quigley added 15 points for the Lions.

Bicentennial League. Rachel Millan led with 31 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists in Lower Moreland's 66-23 road win over Calvary Christian.

KSA Disney Tournament. Spring-Ford continued its winning streak at The Worldwide Sports Center in Disney World in Orlando, Fla., behind 22 points from Sydney Wagner in the Rams' 54-46 win against Cherokee (Ga.). Wagner netted three three-pointers in her second straight game in double figures.

Central League. Allison Lanzone had 16 points and 10 rebounds in Marple Newtown's 65-48 win over Radnor. Sophomore Audrey Rosenblum added 14 points, her career high.

Inter-Ac League. Freshman Riley Shaak impressed with eight points, eight rebounds, and five blocks in Notre Dame's 48-18 win against visiting Baldwin.

Boys' Basketball

Damere Carr and Karee Davis-Combs scored 23 and 22 points, respectively, in Mastbaum's 96-69 road win at Randolph.

In other Public League action, David DeJesus had 19 points and 17 rebounds in Rush's 60-52 win against visiting Philadelphia Academy Charter. Gabriel Kuyateh added 20 points and six assists in the win.

Bicentennial League Independence. Mike McFadden scored 21 points in Holy Ghost Prep's 55-27 win over host Devon Prep.

Quideer Chandler netted 20 points as Ben Franklin edged Sayre, 49-47, at home.

Central League. Angus Mayock had 36 points as Conestoga topped host Lower Merion, 72-69, in overtime.

Pioneer Athletic League. Michael Doorman had 24 points in Norristown's 72-53 home win against Owen J. Roberts.

Nonleague. Asim Richards had 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 blocks as Haverford School handled visiting Cristo Rey, 73-53. Christian Ray added 17 points and Kharon Randolph had 15 points.

Abraham Deng had 10 points, 20 rebounds, and 7 blocks as Valley Forge Military Academy defeated New Hope-Solebury, 60-46, on the road.
