Central girls win Public League tennis title

Central High's girls clinched their third straight Public League tennis championship Tuesday with a 4-1 victory over Masterman. Eryn Nguyen and Tiffany Atmadja won second and third singles after Masterman's Zora Charles took the opening match. Maddie Mast and Helen Li clinched the title for Central with a 6-2, 6-3 victory at first doubles.

Samantha Tom and Kate Hamilton wrapped up the match by winning second doubles for the Lancers, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.

Boys' Soccer

Danny Harmon and Joe Larouche scored for Hatboro-Horsham in a 2-2 tie with Upper Dublin in double overtime. Jerry Bartle and Anthony Wisdo scored for the visiting Cardinals in the Suburban One American contest.

Central League

Jake Grossman's second goal of the day was the overtime winner as he scored with a minute left in Harriton's 4-3 home win against Penncrest.

Girls' Soccer

Kyara Luckey and Gensis Santiago each recorded hat tricks in Mastbaum's 11-0 home shutout of Overbrook in Public League play. Kiara Diaz and Tamika Williams scored two goals each. Gianna Nunez also scored.

Golf

Haverford School senior Davis Rosato shot 68 on Friday to finish at 2 under par and claim the top spot in the Bert Linton Invitational Inter-Ac Golf Championship.

Malvern Prep's John Updike, Episcopal Academy's Cole Kemmerer and Haverford School's Sam Walker each shot 73 to finish behind Rosato. Malvern Prep's Matt Davis finished at 74 to round out the top five.

Cross-Country

Emily Burd finished in 19 minutes, 29.9 seconds for Friends' Central as the Phoenix took first at the Friends Schools League girls' cross-country championships.

Germantown Friends' Nicholas Dahl finished in 16:15.7 to help the Patriots claim first in the boys' race.
