Pa. girls: Marasheski and Ryan remain undefeated

Marasheski improved her personal record and her team's record to 6-0, 3-0 league.

She pitched all seven innings, allowing eight hits and four earned runs while striking out two and walking three.

Vicki Black went 2 for 3 with a double and two runs scored for the winners.

Ryan sophomore Kate Ostaszewski went 2 for 4 with a double and two runs scored while her senior sister, Sarah Ostaszewski, went 1 for 4 with three RBIs.

Catholic Academies. With two outs and the score tied at three, Norah Sanoury hit a single to bring home Ally Schell, lifting host Sacred Heart over Gwynedd Mercy, 4-3, in nine innings.

Schell finished the night with two doubles and two runs scored while Mia Anthony tossed a complete game to earn the win.

Suburban One American. Freshman pitcher Kayla Yeager picked up the win as Plymouth Whitemarsh handily defeated host Cheltenham, 14-6.

Freshman Peyton Baldwin went 4 for 5 for the Colonials.

Freshman Jen Byrne and sophomore Kaleigh Branagh each went 2 for 4 with a home run for PW.

Suburban One Continental. Bridget Schaffer went 3 for 4 with two runs scored and an RBI to lead visiting Hatboro-Horsham past Pennridge, 7-2.

Kaeli Simmons earned the win from the circle. Kyleigh Dineen went 3 for 3 with two runs scored for the Hatters.

Suburban One National. Steph Andreoli led the way for visiting Council Rock South, tossing a complete game with four strikeouts and no walks in a 3-2 win over Pennsbury.

Andreoli also knocked in a run.

Melanie Wilkinson hit a two-run homer in the second inning for the winners.

Lacrosse

Host Agnes Irwin handed Lincoln-Sudbury (Mass.) its first loss of the season, 15-4, in nonleague play.

Laura Pansini led all scorers with four goals.
