Pa. wrestling: Neshaminy sweeps its own duals

Heavyweight Bruce Graeber scored a pin to clinch host Neshaminy's 31-26 win over Plymouth Whitemarsh on Saturday at the Neshaminy Duals.

He finished the pin in 4 minutes, 55 seconds and it made the score 31-23 with one match to go.

Neshaminy won all five of its matches for the day, also beating Archbishop Carroll, Chichester, Northeast, and Pine Grove.

In Neshaminy's 51-22 win over Chichester, 170-pound Ben Stern earned a pin in 24 seconds. He also had a 25-second pin in a 63-12 win over Archbishop Carroll. Stern also had pins against Northeast (1:30) and Pine Grove (3:07).

Vince Stratton finished off a pin in 39 seconds at 220 pounds to seal Northeast's 39-36 win over Archbishop Ryan.

Marco DiBattista (106 pounds) and Robert Brooke (170 pounds) each won by fall in 22 seconds in Plymouth Whitemarsh's 48-22 win over Chichester.

Eddie Sykes won by major decision, 12-4, in Chichester's 46-23 victory over Archbishop Ryan.

Wade Cummings (28 seconds), James Meyer (59 seconds), and James Strommer (33 seconds) each picked up a pin in under a minute in Downingtown East's 80-0 win over Archbishop Ryan.

Central. Haverford High dominated the lower and middle weights, winning every bout between 106 pounds and 170 pounds en route to a 50-21 victory over visiting Ridley. Jared Smith earned an 18-3 technical-fall win at 126 pounds.

Pioneer Athletic. Ryan Hayes' 52-second pin at 120 pounds sealed Spring-Ford's 39-18 home win over Owen J. Roberts.
