Methacton girls give coach 200th

Methacton coach Craig Kaminski picked up his 200th career win as Methacton beat Pottstown, 63-26, in a nonleague girls' basketball game Saturday.

Methacton coach Craig Kaminski picked up his 200th career win as Methacton beat Pottstown, 63-26, in a nonleague girls' basketball game Saturday.

Kaminski, in his 13th season at the helm and 21st with the program, has claimed four 20-win seasons, one 30-win season, and a Suburban One championship.

Jackie Cerchio scored 11 points, Gabby Falcone added 10, and Lauren Engelman had nine.

In other nonleague games:

Becca Rhoades sank six three-pointers and scored 20 points as Nazareth Academy beat Conwell-Egan, 61-43. Marissa Sylvester scored 17 points and picked up 11 rebounds. Alexis Vega grabbed 10 rebounds.

Paige Warful's 18 points helped Downingtown East hold off host Great Valley, 47-42.

Ayahna Cornish Lowry-Philly.com/Rally Classic. Keara McNulty scored all seven of her points in the fourth quarter, and Archbishop Carroll pulled out a 42-39 victory over Caravel Academy (Del.) at Philadelphia University. Julia Gantz contributed seven points and five rebounds, Lexi Stover had nine points and Lexi Kucia had eight.

Ciani Cryor poured in 23 points, and Neumann-Goretti held off Shipley, 76-60. A.J. Timbers added 18 points, and Sianni Martin had 10.

Mary Sheehan's 14 points led a balanced Cardinal O'Hara in a 57-44 triumph over Upper Dublin. Maura Hendrickson added 13, and Mackenzie Gardler had 10.

Mount St. Joseph outscored Cheltenham 43-25 in the second half on its way to a 69-58 win defeat of Cheltenham. Sarah Wills scored 18 points and had seven rebounds. Libby Tacka scored 21 and Caitlyn Cunningham tallied 16.

Alex Kane pumped in 17 points to carry Notre Dame by Harriton, 49-30. Rachel Ryan hauled in eight rebounds.

Danielle Hammond dumped in 22 points, and Baldwin beat Springside Chestnut Hill, 45-33. Mo'ne Davis led Springside Chestnut Hill with 10.

Boys' Basketball

Addison Scott filled out the stat sheet, and Penn Wood rolled past visiting Strawberry Mansion, 79-62. Scott had 14 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, and 6 steals. Malik Jackson scored 20 points and made six steals. Pernell Ghee grabbed 10 rebounds.

Chester picked up assists on more than half of its baskets in a 59-57 win at Harrisburg. Keyonte Watkins scored 15 points and Jamar Sudan had 11.

Dashon Giddings went 9 for 11 from the line en route to 25 points, and Del-Val Charter won at Germantown Academy, 52-49.

Jule Brown's 15 points paced a balanced Lower Merion past Haddonfield, 64-53. Steve Pendleton scored 15 and Asher Barry totaled 13.

Nick Fender scored 21 points to lead Strath Haven over visiting Interboro, 66-52. Alex Ischiropoulos had 17, and Josh Singleton contributed 13 points and 8 rebounds.

Julian Wing sank three second-half pointers en route to 15 points, and Ridley topped visiting Downingtown West, 59-45.
