Villa Joe's Agnew heads all-area team

A playmaker who has great field vision, a terrific shot, and a knack for distributing, Agnew really made her mark for the Jems this year. She netted 36 goals and added 16 assists, earning her the most valuable player award in the Catholic Academies league.

She netted 36 goals and added 16 assists, earning her the most valuable player award in the Catholic Academies league.
Her dynamic presence up top and ability to be dangerous with the ball at her feet anywhere on the field was vital as she helped Villa Joe capture a fourth straight District 1 Class AA championship, win 22 games, and capture the PIAA Class AA state title.

The most valuable player of the Pioneer Athletic Conference, the quick senior was an offensive force up top for the Phantoms, netting 26 goals and registering six assists this season. A pure goal-scorer, Benner found the net 10 games in a row and had six multigoal outings.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST
An absolute gamer, the senior saved some of her best and most explosive stuff for the District 1 and PIAA tournaments, scoring five goals in the state playoffs. In total, the University of Tampa recruit netted 23 goals for the Class AAA state-champion Bucks, utilizing her rocket of a shot and quick decision-making abilities.

The junior might not have scored as many goals for the Quakers this season as she did last year, but who could blame her? The forward was double- or triple-teamed every time she stepped onto the field. A dangerous and clutch offensive presence, the Inter-Ac League's most valuable player netted 24 goals and also had seven assists. She has committed to Maryland.

SPRINGSIDE CHESTNUT HILL
The Virginia recruit wreaked havoc on defenses all season, scoring an astonishing 55 goals, including 21 in Inter-Ac league play. McCool added 19 assists for the Blue Devils in just 22 games. A dynamic offensive player, the junior is very versatile and could achieve similar success anywhere else on the field.

The Penn recruit was a workhorse for the Jems game after game, as the senior consistently won battles in the midfield. She scored 16 goals and registered 27 assists, proving to be an invaluable asset in the attack. Most important, Trzaska really turned it up when the games mattered most late in the season.

On a very balanced Falcons team, the senior stood out for her terrific control of the midfield on both sides of the ball. Engeland scored nine goals and added seven assists, but her penchant for playing mistake-free soccer for 80 minutes made her contributions vital to Pennsbury's District 1 Class AAA championship and undefeated regular season.

One of the most consistently stellar defenders in the area, the senior didn't make many mistakes for the Jems. The four-year starter was stalwart in the back again this season, helping her team earn 15 shutouts and a PIAA Class AA state championship. Fabbri will swim for Villanova.

ARCHBISHOP RYAN
A huge part of the Ragdolls' recent surge, this four-year starter and West Chester recruit helped Ryan earn 17 shutouts. The senior's reliability, and ability to track back and clear the ball, showed as the Ragdolls won another Catholic League championship and District 12 Class AAA title and reached the PIAA quarterfinals.

A Massachusetts recruit, the senior helped the Pioneers get back on top of the Central League with her steadfast play on the back line. She was so effective defensively that she was named the league's most valuable player. Kozlowski also had an uncanny ability to jump-start the Conestoga attack.

A four-year starter for the Bucks, Bendon this season earned 14 shutouts, five coming in the District 1 and PIAA state tournaments. The dependable senior, a St. Joseph's recruit, never allowed more than two goals in a game, and C.B. West went on to capture the PIAA Class AAA state title behind her strong performances.
