Hill boys finally reach the peak

Heading to its third Pennsylvania Independent Schools championship game since 2007, the Hill School boys' basketball team knew it had to play its game to claim the title finally.

Heading to its third Pennsylvania Independent Schools championship game since 2007, the Hill School boys' basketball team knew it had to play its game to claim the title finally.

Saturday night, that's exactly what happened.

The Blues downed Westtown, 56-50, at Malvern Prep to win their first state title.

As the buzzer sounded, the Hill student section rushed the court. The wave of students helped ease the pain of the two misses over the last eight seasons.

Bryce Allen, who scored 12 of his 14 points in the first quarter, spurred the win. He had four three-pointers in the first quarter.

"We knew how talented they were," Hill coach Seth Eilberg said of Westtown. "We told our guys that we need to play our game and make them uncomfortable.

"It was nice to see us play one of our best games to finish the season."
