The senior running back scored twice in the second half on Saturday as Bok rallied to top Imhotep Charter, 22-19, at Southern for its second straight Public League Class AA title.

In the fourth quarter, Sammons capped off the Wildcats' game-winning drive with a two-yard touchdown.

The five-play, 61-yard drive was aided by a pass interference penalty and highlighted by a 30-yard catch by Antoine Whitney to reach the 7-yard line.

Sammons finished the game with 71 rushing yards. He had eclipsed 200-yards in each of the last two games.

Vittorio Goggins led the Bok defense with nine tackles.

Imhotep jumped out to a 13-0 lead and led by five at halftime before Bok rallied.

Boys Latin 30, West Philadelphia 0 - Ben Coulibaly eclipsed 1,000 yards for the season and Boys' Latin easily rolled over West Philadelphia at Simon Gratz in the Class AAA semifinal.

In only their second year in the league, the Warriors will play in the title game. Junior quarterback Erik Lark finished with 128 yards and two touchdowns in the first half, both to Tahir Perlote.

Frankford 37, Central 12 - Tim DiGiorgio threw for three touchdowns and Frankford coasted past Central in the Class AAAA semifinal. Mike Brown put the Pioneers on the board with a 6-yard run in the first quarter.

Catholic League

Archbishop Wood easily knocked off Archbishop Carroll, 55-6, in the league semifinal at William Tennent. Desmond Peoples led the way with 6 carries for 67 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

Inter-Ac League

Dennis Gabert's 36-yard field goal bounced off the crossbar and in with 5 minutes left as Malvern Prep slipped by visiting Haverford School, 17-14.

The win ensures that next week's meeting between the Friars (8-1, 4-0) and visiting Chestnut Hill will be for the league championship.

In the third quarter, Matt Galambos of Haverford School (5-3, 2-2) tied the score at 14-14 with a 20-yard interception return.

Malvern's offensive attack was highlighted by running back Eric Purnell, who sprinted for a 52-yard touchdown in the first quarter.

Episcopal Academy 13, Germantown Academy 10 - Quinn Hager's second field goal of the game and eighth of the season snapped a 10-10 deadlock in the third quarter and gave visiting Episcopal Academy (3-6, 1-3) its first league win.

The teams traded first-quarter field goals and second-quarter touchdown passes, by Episcopal's Adam Strouss and the Patriots' (3-5, 0-4) Hayes Nolte. Quinn Hager, who caught a 50-yard TD pass from Strouss, preserved the win with an interception with 5 minutes left in the game.

Bicentennial League

Jason DeVenuto returned one of five New Hope-Solebury interceptions for a touchdown, and Danny Sutton hit a game-winning 27-yard field goal with 6:42 left as New Hope-Solebury edged host Lower Moreland, 16-13.

Conner Hayden's 2-yard TD run opened the scoring for New Hope (4-5, 3-4), and Lower Moreland (0-10, 0-7) rallied from a 13-0 deficit with TDs by Ryan Killian and Oscar Zhang.

Nonleague

Brothers Travis and Shane McCurdey accounted for all but two of Academy of the New Church's points in a 28-25 loss at Tatnall (Del.).

Travis McCurdey had two TD runs, a field goal and two conversion kicks, and Shane McCurdey had a TD pass reception for the Lions (3-6).
