Villanova has landed another Top 50 recruit, its third, for the class of 2012.

Sources have confirmed that the Wildcats received a verbal commitment from Daniel Ochefu, a 6-9 center from West Chester's Westtown School. According to ESPN, he's the 20th-rated prospect in the class, and No. 7 at his position.

He joins two other local juniors who already had announced their intentions: Savon Lloyd-Goodman, a 6-5 wing forward from Academy of the New Church, and 6-3 point guard Ryan Arcidiacano, of Neshaminy High.

Ochefu, who is from Nigeria, also was considering Temple, Georgetown and Texas.

"He is a prized recruit because there are so few true post players available every year," said Norm Eavenson, of Bob Gibbons All Star Sports. "Offensively, he can either face the basket or play with his back to it. He possesses a good basketball IQ, which makes him a good passer, shot blocker and defender. He handles well for a big man and rebounds well in his area. He still has not reached his full potential since he could be even more dominant than he is." *
