After Aquil Younger scored at the regulation buzzer to force overtime for Gratz, it was Darrell Robinson's turn to take over for the Maroon Wave. His six overtime points helped turn a 52-52 tie into the win and his free throw with 15 seconds left was the game's final point.

In the other semifinal, Frankford used a 38-point fourth quarter to overcome Washington, 92-90. The Pioneers outscored the Eagles, 38-30, in the final quarter and got 23 points from Keith Washington and 20 more from Kevin Lawson. Washington keyed the comeback with 15 points in the final quarter.

Public Class AAA. Boys' Latin's Carlos Taylor scored only eight points but hit two free throws with a minute left to tie the game, and his jumper with six seconds left put the Warriors ahead by two in a 60-56 win over visiting Engineering and Science.

Carrington Ward's 24 points led host Philadelphia Electrical past Dobbins, 77-61. The Chargers (21-3) also got 18 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocked shots from David George.

Public Class A. In a semifinal, Math, Civics and Sciences got 19 points from Warren Dogan in a 56-52 win over visiting World Communications. Darien Moore hit a three-pointer with 55 seconds left to give the Mighty Elephants (20-4) the lead for good.

Constitution got six three-pointers from Amonie Holloman, who finished with 23 points, in a 90-46 win over Paul Robeson.

Public Class AA. In a semifinal, Vaux earned a 68-45 win at Communications Tech as James Butler scored 10 of his game-high 21 points in the first quarter to give his team a 24-8 lead.

Imhotep Charter beat visiting Prep Charter, 51-29, in the other semifinal as Ameen Tanksley had 16 points.

Catholic. In a playoff qualifier at La Salle High, Archbishop Ryan's Eric Fleming tied a season high with 29 points in leading the Raiders past Conwell-Egan, 53-45. Teammate Kyle Slawter had seven assists, six rebounds and zero turnovers.

Pa. Independent Schools. Kenny Johnson did just about everything for Abington Friends in its 73-53 win over visiting Germantown Academy in the first round of the tournament. Johnson scored 23 points and added six assists and five rebounds and did a nice job defensively on GA star Jimmy Hammer, holding him to just 11 points.

Girls' Basketball

Springside got 18 points and nine rebounds from Brenna Coll in a 37-24 win over visiting Abington Friends in a Pennsylvania Independent Schools Tournament first-round game.

Public Class AA. In a semifinal, host Strawberry Mansion got 27 points from Roneesha Rollins in a 57-38 win over High School of the Future.

In the other semifinal, Brittany Hrynko's 21 points carried Engineering and Science to a 65-20 win over visiting Imhotep Charter.

Public Class AAAA. In a semifinal, Girls High placed three players in double figures, led by Siena Childs' 15 points, in a 52-42 win over Frankford. The Pioneers were led by Waynesha Griffin's 17 points. The senior finished her career with 972 points.

Central earned a spot in the final with a 61-51 win over Northeast as Philadelphia University-bound Najah Jacobs had 31 points and 13 assists.

Bicentennial. Host Girard College clinched the Constitution Division title with a 41-38 win over visiting Springfield (Montco) behind Christine Blye's 12 points.

Public Class AAA. in a semifinal, Chelsea Woods' 14 points was the difference for Freire Charter in a 53-39 win at Simon Gratz.

Prep Charter coasted to a 79-11 win over visiting Del-Val Charter as Kahleah Copper scored 20 points.

Bowling

At Erie Lanes, Saul got a 264 game from Ryan Zamoriski in a 2-1 Public League semifinal playoff win over Franklin Towne Charter. In the other semifinal, also at Erie Lanes, Northeast beat Central, 3-0, behind Elijah Stanton's 361 series. The teams will meet for the title on Feb. 23.
