Thursday's South Jersey roundup

Freshman Nicolette Scarduzio scored her first varsity goal for the Eastern girls' soccer team Thursday as the Vikings edged Lenape, 2-1, in overtime. Emma Bitar netted the game-winner in the extra session, and Mikayla Ronczka had six saves.

Alyssa Fox's second-half goal lifted Seneca past Paul VI, 1-0. Lexie Reidenbaker stopped three shots in net for the winners.

Amanda Attanasi scored two goals in Washington Township's 3-0 triumph over Cherokee. Angelina Mowad chipped in a goal, and Jordynn Stallard made 11 saves.

Sara Beidleman was Bishop Eustace's lone scorer in a 2-0 shutout of Timber Creek.

Alexandra Kornafel, Cameron Morgan, and Brooke Steel each scored in Shawnee's 3-2 triumph in overtime over Cherry Hill East.

Boys' Soccer

Mason Domico found the net twice in Bishop Eustace's 5-0 victory over Timber Creek. Zach Young made nine saves to preserve the shutout.

Arturo Serano and Chad Yates each scored as Washington Township shut out Cherokee, 2-0. Mike Pagano had four saves for the Minutemen.

Matt D'Ottavi notched the game's first two goals in Moorestown Friends' 5-0 defeat of Maple Shade. Teddy Kinzler and Jeffrey Atuahene combined for 10 saves in the shutout.

Gateway's five-goal second half, courtesy of a hat trick by Chris Rubena, lifted the Gators over Collingswood, 5-4. Joe Villari and Dominic DeGeorge added goals for the winners.

Bryan Arevalo and Rene Granados each scored a pair of goals in Lindenwold's 7-1 victory over Overbrook. The Lions had five assists as a team.

Jacob Chatten scored the decisive second-half goal as Haddon Township upended Haddon Heights, 1-0.

Kyle Whitehouse notched a goal and an assist as West Deptford needed double overtime to beat Audubon, 2-1. Brandon Ratcliffe added a goal for the Eagles.

Field Hockey

Ruby Anyanwu tallied a hat trick as Pennsauken stormed to a 6-0 win over Woodbury. Jessica Stafford had two assists.

Hammonton received goals from Jianna Lamanteer, Makenzie Mortellite, and Gionna Perna in a 3-1 defeat of Clayton

Cherokee relied on a balanced attack of four scorers to defeat Washington Township, 4-1. Lindsey Florio recorded two assists.
