Saturday's South Jersey roundup

Sophomore Dashaun Harris ran for 107 yards and three touchdowns on just six carries Saturday as Gloucester Catholic beat Wildwood, 61-8, in a West Jersey Football League Classic Division game.

Harris scored on runs of 5, 15 and 50 yards, and sophomore quarterback Danny DeAngelis passed for one touchdown and ran for another as the Rams improved to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the division.

Wildwood (0-5, 0-3) averted a shutout in the final minutes when senior Nate Lopez threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to junior Divine Jones.

"Catholic is a great team, but our kids battled for all 15 rounds," Wildwood coach Ken Loomis said. "They didn't get knocked out. They fought to the end."

Jake Foley accounted for four touchdowns, three passing and one rushing, in Haddonfield's 38-20 victory over Overbrook. Drew Gavranich caught touchdown passes of 5 and 32 yards. Nick Patrizi added a 2-yard plunge to open the scoring.

Boys’ Soccer

Eddie Grant delivered the game-winning goal in overtime, set up by Rob Rogowski, to lift Cherry Hill East over Cherry Hill West, 2-1. Mark Basehore scored on a header in the first half for the Cougars. Nick Feldman got the win with 11 saves in net.

Mike Lutz and Tom Ungvarsky scored as Cinnaminson edged Holy Cross, 2-1.

Field Hockey

Bridget McCormick and Molly Sheehan scored a goal apiece as Haddonfield slipped past Moorestown, 2-1. Megan Maynes had six saves to earn the shutout.

Girls’ Soccer

Maggie Brown, Robin Panzarella, and Sarah Patton all notched goals in Moorestown's 3-0 shutout of Northern Burlington. Robin Panzarella added two assists and Nicole Quintero had two saves.
