Baseball: Delran edges Northern Burlington

Aside from allowing a first-inning solo shot to Kevin Welsh, Smith limited the damage and struck out eight batters as the visiting Bears won, 2-1, over the Greyhounds.

In other Burlington County League baseball action:

Damien Bowman Clark had a double and three RBIs and scored a run in host Maple Shade's 14-2 win over Westampton Tech.

Nonleague. Wilbor Garcia went 3 for 3 with a home run, double, three runs scored, and two RBIs as Pennsauken won at Camden Academy Charter, 9-4.

Girls' Lacrosse

Meghan Smart, Kat Ostbye, and Gabi Connor each had four goals and fifth-seeded Haddonfield defeated No. 12 Somerville, 20-13, at home in the first round of the South Jersey Group 2 playoffs.

Nonleague. Mackell Schultes found the net seven times and Niamh Brett had two goals and two assists as host Gateway defeated Williamstown, 11-7.
