Ten South Jersey football games to circle on the calendar this season.

Sept. 11

St. Joseph at St. Augustine,

6 p.m. The last Cape-Atlantic League American Division title could be decided by 9 o'clock on opening night.

Shawnee at Williamstown,

7 p.m. There will be major West Jersey Football League American Division, top 10 ranking, and playoff implications in both South Jersey Group 4 and South Jersey Group 5 in this opener.

Haddonfield vs. West Deptford at Gateway, 7 p.m. Another classic on opening night as the Eagles will use a neighbor's field to host the Bulldogs in a clash of fierce rivals and top contenders in both the Colonial Conference's Liberty Division and South Jersey Group 2.

Sept. 18

Cedar Creek at Buena, 7 p.m.

These rivals are both vying for the CAL National title as well as the South Jersey Group 2 crown.

Camden at Delsea, 7 p.m. These teams could meet again in the South Jersey Group 3 title game Dec. 5 at Rowan University.

Cherokee at Timber Creek,

7 p.m. This season is front-loaded with big games, and here's another as the two-time South Jersey Group 5 champions visit the two-time South Jersey Group 4 finalists.

Oct. 9

Kingsway at Timber Creek,

7 p.m. The Dragons have circled this WJFL National Division game since losing to the Chargers in dramatic fashion in overtime in last year's South Jersey Group 4 semifinals.

Nov. 6

Rancocas Valley at Lenape,

7 p.m. These teams likely will be vying for WJFL Colonial Division supremacy as well as high seeds in the South Jersey Group 5 tournament.

Gloucester at Pennsville,

7 p.m. In eight games since 2008, these WJFL Classic rivals have combined for 586 points, an average of 73.25 points per game.

Nov. 26

Paul VI at Camden Catholic, 10:30 a.m.

This Thanksgiving Day clash between these old rivals should feature teams that have combined for around 15 wins by then.
