S.J. girls: Buena's Dwyer pitches no-hitter, sets single-season homer record

Lauren Dwyer may have pitched a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts Thursday, but what the she did at the plate was just as noteworthy.

The senior belted her seventh home run of the season in the fourth inning, tying a Buena record in an 11-0 win at Wildwood Catholic in a Cape-Atlantic softball game.

Lynnsie Collins also hit a home run. Abi Thomas went 2 for 2 with two RBIs and a pair of runs. Sam Fiocchi scored three runs.

Olympic. Kristi DiMeo went 4 for 4 with a home run, two doubles, and two RBIs to power Bishop Eustace at Timber Creek, 5-1.

Lauren Sandelier had two hits, including a triple, and three RBIs to help Washington Township defeat Shawnee, 7-5, at home. Jessica Hughes and Kellianne Gaffney each had two RBIs.

Burlington County. Tori Carpenter had two hits and two RBIs in Rancocas Valley's 15-4 win over Pemberton at home. Alex Curto had eight strikeouts.

Lacrosse

Gabrielle Fornia scored four goals and dished out five assists to lead Lenape in a 16-4 win at Cherry Hill East in an Olympic Conference matchup. Carlee Braverman, Erin Donoghue, Kasey Donoghue, and Kaity McKenna each had two goals.

In other Olympic action:

Meghan Smart scored five goals, Katie Pileggi and Gracie Grimes each added four, and Haddonfield won at Woodstown, 22-3.

Cape-Atlantic. Mary Riggs netted five goals to aid Absegami in a 14-12 win at Mainland. Naiomi Earl had two goals. Ashley Albright scored four goals for Mainland.

Nonleague. Samantha Budd led West Deptford with five goals in a 16-8 win over Rancocas Valley at home. Tricia Baud and Samantha Souder each had a hat trick.

Katy Repholz had four goals in Moorestown Friends' 13-1 win at Haddon Township. Steph Walker and Alexis Watson each had a hat trick.
