Fri. S.J. football: Alberto sparks Haddonfield romp

Mike Alberto didn't need to be perfect on Friday night, but he was anyway. The Haddonfield senior quarterback completed all 11 of his passes for 158 yards as the Bulldogs routed visiting Paulsboro, 50-12, in a Colonial Conference interdivision battle between division leaders.

Alberto ran in a 13-yard score to tie the score 6-6 in the second quarter and added three touchdown passes before the night was through.

Jake Klaus rushed 19 times for 95 yards and a touchdown and Tyler Klaus had six catches for 77 yards and a touchdown to pace unbeaten Haddonfield (6-0), which is ranked No. 6 in South Jersey by The Inquirer.

The Haddonfield defense limited Paulsboro (5-2) to 108 yards.

Williamstown 42, Eastern 0: Isiah Perkins ran in three touchdowns of more than 20 yards, two of which covered more than 40 yards, to lead the visiting, No. 19 Braves.

WEST JERSEY CLASSIC

Salem 48, Wildwood 0: Dione Alston piled up 210 yards and four touchdowns on 11 carries to lead the visitors. Daquan Blake registered two sacks. Shareef Jeffries and Donovan Lewis grabbed interceptions.

Gloucester 10, Clayton 6: Marc Seibert connected with Justin Graves for an 8-yard TD in the fourth quarter to win it for the visitors, who had trailed by 6-0 at the break.

WEST JERSEY COLONIAL

Lenape 31, Notre Dame 7: Steven Anderson (14 carries, 81 yards), Ben Hunt (14 carries, 63 yards, one TD), and Malcolm Anthony (five carries, 72 yards, one TD) led the ground attack for the host, No. 7 Indians.

Rancocas Valley 34, Allentown 14: Jordan Sadusky threw three TD passes for the visiting team.

Woodstown 21, Schalick 0: Chad Watt ran in a 55-yard score in the first quarter, and the visitors rolled from there.

Holy Cross 28, Bordentown 20: Chris Liggio ran in a pair of third-quarter touchdowns to seal the victory for the visiting, No. 12 Lancers.

Delsea 17, Hammonton 14: Bronson Deckert kicked a 22-yard field goal with two minutes remaining to win it for the visiting, No. 22 Crusaders. Delsea's Quinn Collins ran for 59 yards, including a 31-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to tie it at 14. No. 6 Hammonton led, 14-0, at halftime.

St. Augustine 54, Egg Harbor Township 7: The ninth-ranked Hermits outgained the No. 24 Eagles, 303-44, in Richland. Lamont Harris racked up 162 yards on the ground to add to his South Jersey-leading total.

Jose Tabora was 7-for-8 passing for 127 yards and three TDs and also ran in a 50-yard score in the second quarter.

CAPE-ATLANTIC NATIONAL

Oakcrest 41, Middle Township 27: Kendall Elliott struck after halftime with three late rushing TDs as the hosts closed things out by scoring 29 of the game's final 35 points.

NONLEAGUE

Bridgeton 36, Millville 9: Cappadonna Miller scored four touchdowns to propel the No. 21 Bulldogs on the road.

Sterling 42, Gateway 0: Davon Tucker ran for 201 yards and four scores to lead the home team.
