Here's a closer look at seven games set for Friday night, with predictions.

No. 14 Delsea (0-1) at No. 7 Camden (1-0), 6. The Crusaders need to win at Farnham Park to avoid an 0-2 start, which would be especially daunting since No. 3 Timber Creek is next on their schedule.

Senior running back Isaiah Spencer will try to get Delsea's ground game going against a physical Camden defense. Camden's Khalil Williams threw five touchdown passes last weekend against Highland and has 60 in his career.

Pick: Camden, 27-21.

No. 6 Millville (1-0) at No. 18 St. Augustine (0-1), 6. The host Hermits opened with a loss to No. 1 St. Joseph and face another Cape American and South Jersey power.

This game will feature three of South Jersey's best running backs. Millville has a top one-two punch in Rob Ennis, a Purdue recruit coming off a 315-yard, four-touchdown game in a win over Mainland in the opener, and Ryquell Armstead, a Temple recruit.

St. Augustine's offense revolves around senior Lamont Harris, who generated 101 rushing yards and a TD against St. Joseph.

Pick: Millville, 19-14.

No. 13 Clearview (1-0) at No. 10 Paul VI (1-0), 7. This game has extra meaning for Clearview senior all-purpose player Sterling Sheffield, who spent his first two years at Paul VI.

Clearview is riding high after a 21-14 victory over Delsea in the opener, thanks largely to senior Joey Coles' late punt block and senior Gary Searle's recovery in the end zone.

Paul VI spotted Seneca a 7-0 lead then roared back for a 41-7 victory as junior Matt Vitale, a transfer from Haddon Heights, threw a pair of touchdown passes to Penn State recruit Irv Charles.

Pick: Paul VI, 20-17.

No. 19 Rancocas Valley (1-0) at Eastern (1-0), 7. This is a rematch of a wild game last season, won by Eastern, 31-28, as the teams combined for 10 interceptions.

Eastern senior quarterback Cinque Hill is a top playmaker. Rancocas Valley could be without quarterback Jordan Sadusky, who has a shoulder injury.

Pick: Rancocas Valley, 17-14.

No. 15 Holy Cross (1-0) at Palmyra (1-0), 7. The Lancers opened with a big win over crosstown rival Delran.

Palmyra is coming off a strong first game, as well. Senior running back Marquise Carstarphen scored three touchdowns as the Panthers put 52 on the board against Maple Shade.

Pick: Holy Cross, 27-22.

Pennsauken (0-1) at Winslow Township (0-1), 7. Both teams are coming off hard-fought losses.

Pennsauken played strong defense for most of the game in a loss to Timber Creek. Winslow Township's defense allowed just one touchdown in a 13-8 loss to Moorestown.

Pick: Pennsauken, 13-12.

No. 3 Timber Creek (1-0) at No. 4 Cherokee (1-0), 7:30. These two large-school powers have never met in the sport.

Timber Creek likes to spread the field and get top playmakers such as senior quarterback Khalil Trotman and junior wide receiver Cameron Chambers in space.

Cherokee likes to hug the ground, control the clock, and rely on bruising backs such as junior quarterback Evan Powell and senior halfback Marc Woodard.

Pick: Timber Creek, 20-17.

Last week: 9-1. Year to date: 9-1.
