This season's Inquirer player of the year in South Jersey girls' lacrosse capped one of the finest careers in state history in the sport. Among the quickest and most fluid players Moorestown has ever had, McCool was the central piece to the team's third straight Tournament of Champions title and third straight undefeated season. The North Carolina recruit recorded 85 goals and 44 assists this season, giving her 272 career goals and 94 career assists. But four goals stood out above the rest. With her team trailing by two in the second half of the T of C final, McCool scored four straight goals to give her team a lead it never lost.

RANCOCAS VALLEY

All eyes were on Sventy this season after a breakout freshman campaign. But despite the added defensive attention, she was the biggest reason that RV's offense remained among the area's best after the school graduated the dynamic duo of Alex and Mackenzie Hlesciak. Sventy, extremely quick with strong stick skills, netted 95 goals as a sophomore, giving her 136 for her high school career.

Despite being sidelined early in the season with an ankle injury, Shinske was still one of the area's best overall players in 2014. Tenacious and fearless, the Johns Hopkins recruit recorded 47 goals and 10 assists in her senior season. She ended her high school career with 163 goals and 46 assists.

MOORESTOWN

The Virginia Tech recruit was a breakout star for Moorestown this year, helping lead the Quakers to their third consecutive perfect season. Consistently a menace in front of the net, the senior chipped in 47 goals and had 35 assists for one of the nation's most potent offenses.

Hard-nosed and supremely athletic, Carabases was a key piece of one of South Jersey's top offenses. The senior paired 82 goals with a team-leading 26 assists in helping lead the Indians to a state Group 4 championship. Carabases moves on to St. Joseph's University after a career at Lenape that included 197 goals and 70 assists.

The senior was one of the state's best attacking midfielders this season. She combined with Rena Carabases to form a potent scoring duo that was nearly unstoppable during the Indians' run to the state Group 4 title. And the two will continue to play together next year for St. Joseph's. Donnelly led the Indians in goals (89) and draw controls (94), adding 12 assists. She finished her Lenape career with 177 goals and 25 assists.

WEST DEPTFORD

The senior was the leader of the most successful era West Deptford girls' lacrosse has had. She netted 65 goals this season, finishing her high school career with 156. She led the Eagles to the Olympic Conference National Division title and an appearance in the South Jersey Group 2 final this year. She will play next season for Rutgers.

She is perhaps the area's best pure athlete. Soccer is Norton's primary sport - and she'll play it next season at Rutgers - but her work ethic and natural ability made her equally successful in lacrosse. She was a major contributor in each third of the field for the Group 4 state-champion Indians. She had 21 goals, 8 assists, 87 draw controls, and 134 ground balls. But her greatest impact on her team doesn't appear on the stat sheet, as Norton was a lights-out defender and leader of Lenape's best girls' lacrosse team.

The junior was a key piece to a Quakers defense that allowed an average of fewer than five goals en route to the Tournament of Champions title. This Michigan recruit is one of the state's top one-on-one defenders and still has a year of high school left.

As she has been since her standout freshman season, Argyle was one of the most consistent and athletic goalies in the state this season. A junior, she recorded 202 saves against one of the area's toughest schedules. And she was a leader of a young defense in another stellar season for Shawnee.
