South tops North in S.J. girls’ game

Sheeresha Richards of Atlantic Christian scored 13 points and Ocean City's Reilly Larkin netted 10, keying a second-half surge that carried the South past the North, 89-82, in the Al Carino girls' basketball all-star game on Saturday at Paul VI.

The South relied on a balanced attack, getting at least seven points from eight players.

The North, which held a 47-44 halftime lead, placed four scorers in double figures.

Brittany Snow of Seneca had a game-high 15 points for the North. Taylor Umbrell of Delran added 13, Kamari Talley of Woodrow Wilson scored a dozen, and Lenape's Brianna Wylie chipped in 10 points.
