Gloucester’s Cori Conner nets her 1,000th point

Cori Conner became the 10th girl in Gloucester High history to reach 1,000 career points as she tossed in 14 points and helped the Lions whip visiting Pennsville, 81-22, in a Tri-County Conference basketball matchup on Monday.

Conner, a senior forward, reached the milestone on a first-quarter layup and finished the game with 1,011 career points.

Gabrielle Cooper topped 11 Lions scorers with 23 points.

Colonial. Haddon Township improved to 13-1 via a 65-29 triumph over visiting Haddon Heights in which Jess Brown (17), Sara DeCinque (13) and Jess Donaldson (13) paced a balanced attack. Brown had five three-pointers, and Katie Getzinger added five boards.

Nonleague. Camden Academy Charter's Kimberlyn Roy scored 16 of her 21 points in the second half and Chaquara Milligan had a 17-point game to offset 35 points by LEAP Academy's 6-foot-3 Brandi Harvey-Carr as the visiting Cougars prevailed, 61-52.

Lindenwold got a layup with 25 seconds to go for the winning margin in a 31-30 win at Pennsauken Tech.

Swimming

Courtney Patterson and Jenna Zagoren each won two individual events and swam on two winning relays to lead Cherry Hill West to the South Jersey Swim League's Mediterranean Division title with a 98-72 victory over Haddonfield at Camden County Tech.
