Bishop Eustace’s late rally beats Winslow Township

The Crusaders utilized man-to-man, zone, and full-court press defense to mount an 11-2 fourth-quarter comeback.

Taylor Hudspeth had a game-high 13 points, while Redd finished with four points for Bishop Eustace. Winslow Township's Kyanna Fillmore scored 11.

In other Olympic Conference action:

Host Cherry Hill East placed four scorers in double figures in dismantling Woodrow Wilson, 78-29.

Darby Sesta led the way with 17 points, Marie Boisvert scored 16, Brittany Muniz contributed 14 points and seven assists, and Michelle Onu chipped in 10 points for the 7-0 Cougars. Shanice Maynard and Chanelle Perry had 10 points apiece for Wilson.

Junior guard Sophia Valensquez tossed in 17 points for host Cherry Hill West, which parlayed a fast start into a 44-38 triumph over Washington Township. Kelsey Brown's 13 points led the Minutemaids.

Burlington County. Natalya Lee (16 points) and Lauren Gaskill (12) had the hot hands for Rancocas Valley, which used a 20-4 third-quarter blitz to put away host Northern Burlington, 60-38.

Behind 21 points by Briyona Canty, Trenton Catholic ran out to a 35-point first-half lead and went on to crush host Holy Cross, 78-27.

Tri-County. Nicole Fallon's 20-point, 12-rebound effort carried host Gloucester Catholic past Williamstown, 43-31.

Nonleague. Jackie Short put on a long-distance shooting clinic, draining eight shots from beyond the arc in scoring 26 points to highlight Delsea's 59-42 victory at West Deptford.

Short scored 23 in the first half to send the Crusaders to the locker room with a 39-19 lead. Kelly Brewster had 11 points and Danielle McKeown scored 10 for the Eagles.

Liz Looby's 12 points proved pivotal for Highland, which had just enough offense to edge host Haddon Heights, 33-31. Nadja Riggs grabbed nine rebounds and Sharonda Outterbridge cleared eight boards for the Garnets.

Burlington City received 14 points from Afia Afyeman and 13 from Ty Myrick to offset a 21-point effort by Lindenwold's LaQuinta Harper and hand the host Lions a 55-39 defeat.
