Pemberton lineman commits to Villanova

Reggie Paris, a tight end and defensive end who will be a senior this fall at Pemberton, has become the latest South Jersey player to make a commitment to the Villanova football team.

Reggie Paris, a tight end and defensive end who will be a senior this fall at Pemberton, has become the latest South Jersey player to make a commitment to the Villanova football team.

According to Pemberton coach John Rosnick, Villanova recruited Paris to play on the defensive line.

"They were impressed by his size and athletic ability and think he will put on weight," Rosnick said.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound Paris had 48 tackles, three sacks, and one interception for a touchdown last season. He is a cousin of incoming Villanova recruit Corey Reeder, an Inquirer first-team all-South Jersey wide receiver from Pemberton.

Earlier this week, Williamstown offensive lineman Vince Kowalski also committed to Villanova. The 6-41/2, 248-pound Kowalski said he also considered Rutgers, Pittsburgh, James Madison, and some Ivy League schools.
