S.J. girls: Mooney becomes all-time win leader

Sean Mooney made history in Ocean City's 11-0 win against visiting Vineland on Thursday. The pitcher earned his second win of the season while collecting his 19th career victory in the Cape-Atlantic League matchup to become Ocean City's all-time wins leader.

The pitcher earned his second win of the season while collecting his 19th career victory in the Cape-Atlantic League matchup to become Ocean City's all-time wins leader.

After scoring one run in the second inning, Ocean City sent runners across home plate 10 times.

Josh Arnold, Nick Artymowicz, and Brian Casey had two RBIs each.

In other Cape-Atlantic League action:

Noah Butterfield helped Middle Township shut out Pleasantville, 16-0, after totaling seven strikeouts in three innings.

Zach Wyatt finished 3 for 4 with two RBIs.

Matt Wyat drove in two runs as well.

Burlington County League. Cody Shroeder hit an RBI double to cap a three-run rally in the bottom of the seventh and give Bordentown a 3-2 win against visiting Burlington Township.

Corey Smith and Joe Parker each went 2 for 4 with one run scored.

Brian Gerber hit a home run and had two RBIs as Moorestown defeated Delran, 4-3, on the road.

Mike Samartino struck out five in three innings.

In five innings, visiting Maple Shade defeated Willingsboro, 31-2.

Braedon Domansky, John Kinnerman, Joe Finn, and Sean New each had three RBIs.

Max Ormsby pitched all five innings for Maple Shade, striking out two.

Trenton Catholic shut out Riverside, 4-0, at its home field.

Mike Urban struck out four and went 2 for 3 with one run scored. Chris Labelle finished 3 for 3 with one run scored, and Josh Parker scored a run and drove in another.

Nonleague. At home, Jake Dunn struck out seven in five innings to help Triton defeat Sterling, 15-6.

Triton collected 14 hits as Dan Huff was 4 for 4 with three runs scored and one RBI.

Nick Grotti and Buddy Kennedy each hit a home run in Millville's 10-0 home victory against Egg Harbor Township.
