Josh Sharkey added 13 points and 10 assists for the Patriots. They are 12-1, with their only loss coming to St. Benedict's (N.J.) by one point.

The Cahillites, last year's Catholic League champions and the preseason No. 1 in The Inquirer rankings, are now 9-3 overall and 2-2 in league play. Roman's Lamar Stevens led all scorers with 23 points.

Girls' Basketball

Mary Sheehan hit the game-winning layup as time expired for Cardinal O'Hara, which edged Sanford (Del.), 48-46, at the Maggie Lucas Philly.com/Rally Classic at Chestnut Hill College. The buzzer-beater was Sheehan's only basket of the second half. She finished with 20 points.

Danielle Hammond had 22 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks to lead Baldwin past Harriton, 50-42. Hammond scored 12 points in the fourth quarter.

In other Maggie Lucas Classic action, Lyndsay Joyce had 10 points, seven assists and five steals, helping St. Basil top Abington Friends, 42-31.

Katie Weaver scored 15 points, including three three-pointers, to help Episcopal Academy past Bishop Shanahan, 46-37.

Kristen Rogers scored 13 points, leading all scorers, as Notre Dame beat Merion Mercy, 49-29.

Morgan Lenahan scored 18 points, with four three-pointers, as Neumann-Goretti defeated Shipley, 71-24. Alisha Kebbe had 19 points for the Saints.

Libby Tacka scored 15 points, as Mount St. Joseph topped Archbishop Carroll, 55-41.

Jess Huber led all scorers with 12 points as North Penn defeated Gwynedd Mercy, 39-29.

Lilly Bolen had 15 points, as Germantown Academy rolled past Villa Maria, 54-28.

Bionca Dunham put up 18 points for Imhotep Charter, which defeated Garnet Valley 57-43.

Abby Kapp scored 15 points in Boyertown's 40-36 victory over Life Center.

Iyanna McCurdy had 21 points and six steals in a losing effort for Friends' Central, which fell to Mount Lebanon, 57-48. Mikayla Vaughn added 15 points, nine rebounds and six blocks for the Phoenix.

Sydney Wagner scored 15 points for Spring-Ford, which fell, 67-38, to Cumberland Valley.
