Last year's record.

Rk. Team Rec.

1. Villa Joseph Marie 22-1

Last year's state champions in Class AA, the Jems only lose four starters. They still have a ton coming back, including senior Bridget Galen and junior Murphy Agnew. The seasoned group will be up for any challenge.

2. Pennridge 14-2-3

The Rams had eight sophomores in their starting lineup last season. With a year of experience behind them, including a heartbreaking loss in the District 1 AAA playoffs, expect Katie Fischer, Maddie Swartley, Jess Milligan and company to avenge their early exit.

3. Central Bucks East 19-4-2

Nine starters are back for a Patriots team that fell in the District 1 AAA championship game a season ago. With a strong senior class, highlighted by Penn recruit Emma Loving, the pieces are there for C.B. East to contend in the always difficult Suburban One Continental, as well as make a run in districts and states.

4. Pennsbury 20-1-3

The defending District 1 Class AAA champions were perfect until the PIAA quarterfinals last year. The Falcons return all but three starters and should again be a tough team to beat in league play.

5. Penn Charter 15-4-3

Injuries, early season setbacks and youth couldn't stop the Quakers from capturing a second straight Independent Schools state title and Inter-Ac championship last year. Maryland recruit Jlon Flippens tallied 84 goals in her first three seasons.

6. Spring-Ford 19-5-3

Four senior Division I recruits (Gabby Vagnozzi, Laura Suero, Missy Moore and Taylor Newhart) anchor this squad, which earned a berth in the PIAA Class AAA state tournament for the second straight time last year.

7. Owen J. Roberts 13-9-2

There were a lot of bright spots last season for the Wildcats, but some inconsistencies as well. That happens with six freshmen starters. A year later, OJR will be a formidable opponent, especially if Emilie Kupsov, and Mahogany Willis get going offensively.

8. Central Bucks West 20-6-1

A 13th seed in the District 1 AAA tournament and a 9-4-1 record against conference opponents made the Bucks more or less an afterthought heading into playoffs. Then they went ahead and won a PIAA title.

9. Strath Haven 13-4-2

The Panthers couldn't catch a break last season as injuries made a consistent starting lineup hard to come by. If they are healthy in 2015, they should be solid, as the squad returns a strong nucleus that includes forward Lizzie King, goalie Katie Fisher, and forward Maddie Forbes.

10. Archbishop Ryan 20-2

The Ragdolls have been the class of the Catholic League, but after losing top talent to graduation, how will they respond? An early matchup against Mount St. Joseph will be a test for dynamic forward Jules Blank, Taylor Woods and the rest of the Ragdolls.

Also considered (listed alphabetically): Agnes Irwin (14-3-1), Boyertown (13-5), Council Rock South (14-9-1), Neshaminy (10-6-3), West Chester Rustin (14-3-2).
