Tuesday was a night of firsts for the Moorestown Friends boys' soccer team. Josh Murdy, a junior, made eight saves and earned his first varsity win as the Foxes shut out host Pitman, 2-0, in a nonleague game.

Junior Mitchell Mullock, who recorded a shutout over Glassboro as Monday's goalie, netted his first varsity goal as a left back, scoring from 18 yards.
Mullock's twin, Matthew, was the other goal-scorer for Moorestown Friends. He received a long pass from Tommy Martin, beat three defenders, and went in on goal alone.
In other nonleague action:
Dan Timmins put in the winner with 19 minutes, 30 seconds left in host Holy Cross' 2-1 win over Palmyra.
Jason Bischer had a hat trick as Cumberland doubled up Millville, 4-2, on the road. Freshman Jordan Angel also scored for the Colts.
Luis Rivadeneira's first-half equalizer and Brett Hoffman's second-half winner helped Rancocas Valley defeat visiting New Egypt, 2-1.
Dwane Tracy recorded a hat trick and an assist in leading Medford Tech to a 6-1 home win over Doane Academy.
Joe Fala scored twice and sophomores Trent Canter and Christian Rafter registered their first varsity goals as Middle Township blanked host Wildwood, 6-0.
Jose Contes and Logan Davis scored, John Rhode stopped 12 shots, and Hammonton topped Burlington Township on the road, 2-1.
Colonial Liberty. Jelani James knocked in the lone goal in the 69th minute to give host Sterling a 1-0 win over Haddonfield.
Cross-Country
Nathan Shivers ran a winning time of 17:16 over 5,000 meters to set a course record for Clearview, which fell to host Highland, 22-34, in a Tri-County Conference race.
Highland's Ryan Carroll finished second in 17:54.
