Kennett rolls to victory over Sun Valley, 35-13

In a matter of hours on Saturday afternoon, Kennett's C.J. Lowe experienced a storybook day he will remember for life.

After becoming Kennett's homecoming king at halftime, Lowe sealed the Blue Demons' 35-13 win over visiting Sun Valley with a 15-yard touchdown run in the Ches-Mont League American Division game.

Kennett (4-2 overall, 1-1 league) built a big lead early against Sun Valley (4-2, 2-1) on three touchdowns by Jordan Lardani.

Catholic AAAA

La Salle 35, Father Judge 7 -

Chris Kane completed 15 of 20 passes for 238 yards and four touchdowns, and La Salle took a 35-point lead into halftime on the way to the win at Lincoln.

David Givens caught three passes for 91 yards for the Explorers (6-0, 2-0), highlighted by a 63-yard touchdown, against Judge (2-3, 0-1).

Catholic AAA

Bonner-Prendergast 28, Lansdale Catholic 9 -

Mike Ockimey scored on both sides of the ball to lead Bonner-Prendie to the win at Upper Darby.

Ockimey's 85-yard interception return gave the Friars their first lead, 6-3, in the second quarter, and his 12-yard reception in the third quarter gave Bonner-Prendie (2-3, 1-0) a 14-9 advantage over Lansdale Catholic (4-2, 0-1).

Pioneer Athletic

Pottsgrove 27, Methacton 14 -

After falling behind by 14 in the first quarter, Pottsgrove rallied for 27 unanswered points to win at Methacton.

Mark Dukes (6-0, 5-0) put the Falcons on the board against Methacton (2-4, 2-3) with a 56-yard run in the first quarter before Pottsgrove struck for 20 points in the second half on Dukes' second touchdown, a 4-yard score, and a pair of Troy Hudgins scores.

Bicentennial

Bristol 45, Jenkintown 7 -

Donte Simmons racked up 310 yards on the ground to lead Bristol to the road win.

Simmons, a sophomore, carried the ball 18 times and scored five touchdowns, including 62- and 65-yard scores for the Warriors (4-1, 4-0) against Jenkintown (3-3, 1-2).

Lower Moreland 7, Delco Christian 6 - Max Sanberg and Alex Linton each scored a second-quarter touchdown, but Sanberg's Lower Moreland team converted its extra point to pick up the road win.

Linton scored on a 5-yard run, but Delco Christian (2-2, 2-2) failed to convert the extra point.

Sanberg responded with a 26-yard touchdown and Jordan Pocrass delivered the game-winning PAT for Lower Moreland (4-1, 2-0).

Central

Strath Haven 34, Lower Merion 6 -

Tevon Howie and Jake Morris each ran for a pair of touchdowns for visiting Strath Haven.

Howie scored on the Panthers' first play from scrimmage when he ripped off a 43-yard run. He scored on a 30-yard run later in the game.

Morris ran in a 17-yard touchdown and added a 3-yard score that gave Strath Haven (3-3, 3-2) a 34-0 lead over Lower Merion (0-6, 0-5).

Suburban One National

Pennsbury 35, Abington 9 -

Shawn Pepper ran for two TDs and Ryan Muse returned an interception 76 yards for a touchdown as Pennsbury (4-2, 3-0) blew out visiting Abington (4-2, 2-1).

Public Class AA

Imhotep Charter 34, Del-Val Charter 0 -

David Williams scored two touchdowns to guide Imhotep Charter to the win at Germantown.

The Panthers (6-0, 4-0) scored two defensive touchdowns - Brandon Chatmon's fumble recovery and DeAndre Scott's interception return - against Del-Val (3-3, 2-2).

Nonleague

Cardinal O'Hara 57, Bishop McDevitt 7 -

Deshawn Darden threw four touchdown passes in the first quarter to lead Cardinal O'Hara (4-2) past Bishop McDevitt (1-5) at Cheltenham.
