Tues. Pa. boys’ roundup: Rustin edges Kennett

Jake Tully put Kennett (5-3 overall, 2-2 division) ahead at halftime with his team-leading fifth goal of the season.

Nick Rohleder tied the score for Rustin (6-1, 4-1) and Jamison MacMain netted the winner with 15 minutes left. MacMain scored on a 12-yard shot from Carroll's assist.

Central. Lower Merion Inquirer, subdued visiting Haverford High, 3-0. Ben Hriscu scored twice and Aces goalie Connor Yu needed just two saves.

Alex Miller drilled a 40-yard shot into the net 2:30 into overtime as Garnet Valley outlasted host Penncrest, 2-1.

Strath Haven goalie David Rufini stopped a penalty kick to preserve a shutout and Thomas Shiiba got loose for three goals amid a 5-0 win at Ridley.

Suburban One. Second-half goals from Pat Berneski and Mike Serban rallied Central Bucks East past visiting Central Bucks South, 2-1.

Del-Val. Academy Park goalie Elvis Kannah made seven saves while anchoring a 4-0 shutout at Chichester. Mohammed Konneh contributed two goals and one assist.

Glen Mills' Rene Roll and Penn Wood's Justin Kamera netted second-half goals in a 1-1 draw at Glen Mills.

Friends Schools. Manuel Lorenzino-Sepp, who transferred from Abington Friends to Germantown Friends, scored twice to help the host Tigers beat his former school, 6-0.

With 7 minutes left, Sam Stein of Friends' Central knocked in a goal to give the Phoenix a 1-1 draw at George School. Igor Gateniuk of George scored the initial goal from Tommy Lodge-Yanez 14 minutes earlier.

Shipley outshot host Moorestown Friends by 21-4 and goalie Pablo Sisniega earned his second straight shutout, 3-0. Sam Marks scored all three Gators goals.

Bicentennial. Second-half goals by Kyle Klein and Colin O'Neill boosted Holy Ghost Prep to a 2-0 win at Lower Moreland. Prep goalie Jim Gavigan made four saves.

Calvary Christian's Rick Mears headed in a crossing pass from Josh Hahn in the 35th minute to provide all the offense needed to beat visiting Plumstead Christian, 1-0. Goalie Kevin MacIntyre protected the Calvary net.

Public. Boys' Latin spotted host Franklin Learning Center a 1-0 halftime lead before storming back with Herman Cox's three goals to win, 3-1. Cox, a senior forward, has seven goals in five games.

Tri-County. A. J. Bishop's two unassisted goals and Michael Hsieh's five saves powered Phelps past host Collegium Charter, 3-0.

Barry Cross set up two goals, and Dylan Badawy, Ariel Ben-Shoshan, Dan Fuiman and Peter Gould had a goal apiece for Del-Val Friends in a 4-2 win over visiting Barrack Hebrew.

Nonleague. Able Watson scored with 3 minutes to go in the second overtime period as Episcopal Academy put a dramatic finish on a 2-1 win at Hun Schoool (N.J.).

Cross-Country

Dan Alexander set a course record on his home Lower Moreland layout, helping the Lions beat Phil-Mont Christian, 16-45, in the Bicentennial League. Alexander ran 3.1 miles in 17 minutes, 45 seconds, lowering the mark of 17:47 set by Upper Moreland's Drew Magaha.
