Thurs. S.J. boys’ roundup: 600th victory for Haddonfield soccer

Haddonfield celebrated the 600th win in the history of its boys' soccer program on Thursday, when the Bulldogs mauled visiting Audubon, 8-1, in a Colonial Conference match.

Seven players figured in the scoring, led by Alex Johnston's two goals.

Johnny Alemi, Abby Bah, Stephen Noll, Jared Novak, Luke Pease, and P.K. Schlitt added a goal apiece. Zack Thomas scored Audubon's lone goal.

Haddonfield's all-time record now stands at 600-155-54. Coach Joe Falana is on the verge of his own milestone, with a career mark of 595-131-54.

In another Colonial Conference match, Anthony Colofranson continued his torrid scoring streak with a hat trick and an assist as host Gateway upended eighth-ranked West Deptford, 4-2.

Colofranson has 12 goals in four games this season. Ryan Gavin added a pair of assists and Gators goalie Matt Spisselle made 10 saves.

Cape-Atlantic. Jimmy Hague banged home a rebound midway through the second overtime period, making host Vineland a 1-0 winner over Atlantic City.

Cody Freese (10 saves) went the distance in goal for the Clan, which posted its second double-overtime win in three days. Vineland scored twice in the second extra period on Tuesday to put away Mainland, 3-1.

Donald Daigle tied the match in the 70th minute and put in the go-ahead goal two minutes later, as Millville scored three times in the second half to escape with a 3-2 victory at Hammonton.

David Donio-Enscoe converted a penalty kick to give the Blue Devils a 2-1 lead in the 59th minute.

Luis Hernandez scored twice, including the game-winner from eight yards out with 14 minutes remaining, as Egg Harbor Township completed a 2-1, come-from-behind victory at Absegami. Eagles goalie Brad Watkins made nine saves and shut down the Braves after allowing a first-half score by Sean Milligan.

Burlington County. John Caruso had the lone goal in Cinnaminson's 1-0 victory at Delran.

Nonleague. Clayton keeper Derek Foglein came through with 16 saves while Christian Klumpp scored twice and Dean Davidson contributed a goal and an assist, keying the Clippers' 4-1 home win over Woodrow Wilson.

Gerson Cruz stopped 15 shots for Wilson.
