Neshaminy. The Redskins' season ended earlier than expected last season, but with pitcher Sarah McGowan and second baseman Courtney Clee among the returning players, look for them to go a bit longer this time. Dave Chichilitti has succeeded Kathleen Mullins as coach.

Pennsbury. With veteran coach Frank McSherry, the Falcons are a given when it comes to being in the thick of this area's softball wars. Among the key players returning from last season are D'Anna Devine and Kelsi Bunda.

Pennridge. With a number of young players such as Page DeCew and Emily Hoffman returning from a team that made some noise last season, the Rams are expected to be heard from again. Coach Scott Didra has moved on, however, to be closer to his Lehigh County home. Paul Koehler has succeeded him.

Central Bucks South. The Titans were the victims of a perfect game in the PIAA Class AAAA final last season. With key players Fran Carrullo, Morgan Decker, Haleigh Stocks, and Lauren Klepchick returning, South figures to go far in the postseason again.

Hatboro-Horsham. Because of a labor dispute involving teachers, the Hatters will be without coach Kelly Krier. However, the team has the potential to go far in the playoffs with players such as Julie Wambold, Maggie Shaffer, and Melissa Spinosa returning. Joe DiFilippo is the new coach.

Boyertown. Could the softball team have a banner year, as the girls' basketball team just did? Headed by pitcher Krista Schauder, the Bears return all nine starters from a team that went 14-4 last season.
