2013 U.S. Open: Major parking lot closed due to weather

Because of bad weather we've already had and the threat of more to come, U.S. Open organizers have closed one of the main parking lots fans were meant to use to get to Merion Golf Club.

The Rose Tree Park ("Red") lot in Media, Pa., has been shut down for the remainder of the tournament, according to a press release issued by the United States Golf Association.

All spectators are being asked to drive to PPL Park in Chester, Pa., and take a complimentary shuttle bus from there. Those buses run continuously from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. each day.

There are also multiple ways to reach Merion by public transportation. Take Regional Rail to the Paoli Line's Rosemont station, or take the Norristown High Speed Line to Ardmore Avenue. There will be shuttle buses from Rosemont, and Ardmore Avenue is a short walk away from an entrance to the golf course.

Fans in need of a handicapped-accessible station should take Regional Rail to Radnor, which is two stops past Rosemont on the Paoli/Thorndale line.
