All-Star weekend

 * NHL All-Star Player Fantasy Draft, 8 p.m., Versus.

Players for "Team Staal" will be selected by hometown Carolina Hurricanes captain Eric Staal and his alternate captains - Washington defenseman Mike Green and Vancouver forward Ryan Kesler. Players for "Team Lidstrom" will be selected by Detroit captain Nicklas Lidstrom and his alternate captains - Tampa Bay forward Martin St. Louis and Chicago forward Patrick Kane.

"It'd be fun if Eric and I could be on the same team so the home fans [in Raleigh, N.C.] could have one team to be cheering for," Carolina goalie Cam Ward said. "But, hey, if it happens and I go to Team Lidstrom, then I've got to shut down 'Staaler.' I might hold it against him that he didn't pick me."
